Full Moon Dec 17 ~ Get ready for the unexpected!

Get ready for unexpected changes and sudden surprises

This Full Moon leads up to the last days of this year, no matter if you look at it from cosmic cycles or the official calendar. For me, the new year is connected with the upcoming Solstice. On the 21st of December the sun comes to a “halt” as it seems for us, for 3 days and on the 25th the sun moves north again, and the days grow longer until the Solstice in June, when the sun turns south again. The solar year “dies” on the Solstice, the 21st and the new year would start on the 25th, when the sun moves back south and the days grow longer.

I would like to explain the connection with the sun cycle and mythos/religion. Most religions celebrate the birth of their “Son of God” on December 25th, this is not a new invention of the Christian church, not only Jesus, but also Aios, the son of the Greek Goddess Persephone or Kore, the Egytian Osiris, Horus and Ra, further Dionysos, Bacchus, Mitra, Apollo etc., just to mention a few.

On December 21st, the darkest day in the northern Hemisphere, the ‘son of the light’ in the Egyptian mythos of Osiris, is defeated by the ‘lord of the darkness’ his brother Seth. It is the symbolic death of the light, the son of the light is 3 days in the underworld and the resurrected. Mythos is a reflection of the laws of life connected with the stars. Astrology is often said to influence life, but this is not true, astrology is a measurement of time quality. Since the sun is providing the light of life for our planet, it  is the center of them all.  The sun gods have ruled the world. They represent the consciousness and evolution of men. The fire is the male energy and together with water and earth, ruled by the female, receptive Goddess, creation of material life is possible. Air is the androgynous energy that connects both.

The winter solstice is shows the rhythm of life, we also can find this rhythm in the moon cycles and Dark Moon also represents the end and beginning. If you study the mythos a bit closer, you can also find that a son of God is always born by a virgin and often dies at the cross. They then are in the underworld for 3 days and resurrected.  On the Winter Solstice, the sun has reached the furthermost south position, in front of the star constellation of the “cross of the south” (cruz) and seemingly stand still for 3 days and then moves north again, the sun defeats the darkness. The sun/son dies on the cross, is in the underworld for 3 days and rises again.

Quote from by D.M. Murdock/Acharya S

In studying religion and mythology, it is wise at to keep in mind that in the ancient world many gods were confounded and compounded, deliberately or otherwise. Some were even considered interchangeable, such as the Egyptian gods Osiris, Horus and Ra. In this regard, ancient Greek historian Plutarch (35, 364E) states, “Osiris is identical with Dionysus,” the Greek son of God. Dionysus, also known as Bacchus or Iacchus, is likewise identified with the god Aion and referred to as “Zeus Sabazius” in other traditions. (Graves, 335) Hence, we would expect him to share at least some of all these gods’ attributes, including being born of a virgin at the winter solstice (Aion), and dying and rising from the dead (Osiris).

The Full Moon constellation with Moon in Taurus and the Sun in Scorpio are also telling us about the end of a cycle and a new materialization. The Moon in this chart is only connected to the Sun/Mercury conjunction and to no other planet. We can see it as a confrontation between our logical mind and our feelings. There might be feelings that create emotional reactions to certain situations, not because it is accurate, but because it’s a habit. Most people actually live their life and practically only react to situations, instead of create.

It is an interesting word game: react and create are the same words, just the “c” is in a different place. So they are like the ‘both sides of the same coin’. It’s a polarity couple that is indiscerptible connected. In every thing we do, we have a choice to either create a new reality or react to an old one. This is the topic we have to look at and observe ourselves: do I mainly react or create? Am I in charge of what is going on in my life? To what extend I am stuck in reactions that are programs from the past?

Ret. Jupiter in Gemini is the one to help us to expand our consciousness, not in the outer world, but within, to move the boundaries of our believe systems further out and challenge us to have the courage to move beyond the known. Life is supposed to be an adventure, but if we stay in the living room watching movies, we never have a life of our own, but just an momentary satisfaction by identifying us with a hero for a short time. Then comes the big awakening, similar like the sobering up from being intoxicated from alcohol or other drugs: this is not me and what ever I do, I can’t be like this hero.

The key to a shift of consciousness is to find out what our specialty is, not what parents, teachers and others have said what we should be, but what we really are. To find out again the childhood dreams and the first plans that we had and find the talents that we didn’t nurture, so they can also be resurrected and bring us closer to who we really are.

You could compare a life span on earth to a road that we travel, for example, you might have chosen to be born in Paris and travel to Singapore. To go to Singapore, you have a choice to go east and travel through the countries of Europe, middle east to Asia. But you also can go West and travel through different countries to reach your destiny. The experience will be totally different! But still, it is your path and you reach my goal.

To be authentic means to follow your calling, to live your talents and not wait for others to tell you what you are supposed to do. You are here to follow our heart’s calling and not to obey others and/or be their slave.

Look around you, how many people work because they want to? How many are doing what they like to do? How many are only working for their monthly paycheck? If people work to provide only because they have to and not because they want to, the life quality can never be more than “lukewarm”. If the consciousness level on earth rises through the courage and willingness of people to stand up for themselves, then humanity has a chance for a mass break through and the controlling elite has not more to say. Systems will change!

It is possible that with this constellation with Mars in opposite to Uranus people might suddenly loose their job because they are not fit for it or simply because it’s the wrong job. They might not understand why, because Uranus is still in Pisces! Mars is also connected with a half square to Saturn in Libra, which indicates that this loosing of the job is not just a random injustice, but has been already prepared by Saturn to take place in the right moment.

This is not just about a “job” but about the way we live our life, about the degree of authenticity with our life path. This is the time to sit back for a moment and evaluate our life and look more critical than normal before and feel the degree of satisfaction that we have with our life right now. The important thing is just to see it, to admit it. Once we are ready, the changes are coming our way and we’ll have opportunities that we haven’t seen before (even though they might have been here for a long time) and now we are ready to jump.

There is also still a very strong Neptune aspect to Jupiter that I would interpret as the call to delete old programs. The “you are not good enough anyway” should be removed and we should not be stuck in the attitude that “God make a mistake” in creating us, because we insult the creative forces all the time with the excuse of not being good enough to be truly HuMan beings, made in the image of the Creation forces and therefore being CREATORS (and not reactors).

Long time ago, once a teacher told me that lack of self esteem is lack of trust in Creation!

A powerful break through will be when Uranus turns direct on Dec 19th. This shift shows, that all the trapped energies are being released and  what was stagnant will shake up. We can see it here at the center, it has already started and we are forced to let go of some of the staff members that are just not right for the center. This is why this endings are so important now, that we are ready for the acceleration that is just ahead. How can we step into something new if we are fully packed with the old?

Uranus will bring unexpected changes, sudden surprises and we better are ready to be bold and authentic, so the changes are bringing us closer to our goals. Be flexible and if situations arise that will bring something completely new, it’s to forget all the old ways how you did things and be ready to try something new. The moon will have moved into Gemini when Uranus turns direct. This is the chance for us to shift with ease and have great insights that reveal new aspects of our life or brings hidden talents to the surface that were completely forgotten.

Namaste, Katharina

**SkyView Astrology (outer circle) works with the real star-constellations. Western/Tropical Astrology (inner circle) has nothing to do with the stars anymore and their 1˚ Aries is 28˚ apart from the true star constellations, the Vedic/Indian system is 6˚ different. SkyView Astrology does not tell you who you are, but shows the blueprint/roadmap of one’s life and the time quality. It also is no fortune telling tool and can’t predict the future. The Western Astrology has nothing to do with the Stars, but is a method to show how the sun moves trough the season – which makes a certain sense in the northern hemisphere, but doesn’t make any sense bear and below the equator in the southern hemisphere – for more information go to www.skyviewastrology.com

For your convenience I list the dates when the sun enters the signs:

  1. Funny, this morning while driving & stuck in traffic, my mind revisited a past long gone, but which affected me greatly. Maybe it’s my monthly female cycle playing havoc again, but it does coincide with your reading. I asked myself when was the last time I felt truly happy, like an innocent child, living in bliss every moment.

I was in bliss, until I was about 3 or 4 years young. My whole life changed when one of our tenants persuaded me to take I shower when I told him I didn’t feel the need to. I was left home alone at the time. While showering, he ogled at me and said “shame, shame at your (genitals)…etc”. I don’t remember anything else he said but I remember vividly the evil look in his eyes & the feeling of shame. Now how would I know what shame feels like at that age? I thank God that I was not physically molested but the psychological rape left a deep scar and the unsolved issue was repeated later on in my life when I suffered sexual harassment mostly by personal trainers between the years 2003 and 2009.

Then in convent school, when I was about 10 years young, our principal, Sister Joan ( a nasty nun ), asked my class what our ambition was. I’ve always admired my teachers/ gurus. I have great respect for them, even though sometimes they can get very nasty, sarcastic & shatter my childhood ideals when they didn’t walk their talk. When it was my turn, I told her three times that my ambition was to become a nun like her. She gave me a weird look that seems to say (Are you sure? You’ll regret it).

My creativity and aspirations were stunted by my caretakers who ridiculed my attempts to better my childish best. In the end, I lost me. I became a shiftless bum with no direction in life. It took a lot of effort on my part, to find me again. Of course, I had teachers – ‘personal’ teachers (the good, the bad & the ugly), but most are ‘book’ teachers (I devoured written texts on metaphysics and spiritual science) – who guided me home. Everything happens for a reason, and in perfect timing too!

And now? I’ve recently joined the local Tai Chi group and I’m now an avid soapaholic. One by one, old friends from my recent past began reappearing in my life. I get invited to gatherings and just yesterday, the opportunity to own 50% in a health & beauty spa sent my brain into full overdrive! It’s happening so fast and I was caught off guard. I remind myself that my quest for my own Holy Grail is never ending. We’re all continuously evolving spiritually within our physical bodies, in tandem with the continuously evolving universe. It’ll be interesting to see how I will balance my spiritual & material development in these uncertain times. Meanwhile, I’ll just enjoy the ride.

Thank you for yet another brilliant reading, Katharina.

    • Thank you Olive for this replay. Yes, life is a bumpy ride sometimes and I know that you will move beyond all that abuse! Great to hear that you have new opportunities coming up, you truly deserve them.
I think times are always uncertain in a human perspective, that might be the beauty of it…. the surprises 😉 Big hug!
